My brother was married in the summer of 2012 in a small church at Grand Lake, Oklahoma. It was an intimate wedding with only close friends and family in attendance--perfectly fitting for him and his bride, Ashley. Billy and Ashley were expecting their first daughter, Charlotte, who arrived a few months later in November.
It was a simple and quiet ceremony. Ashley's niece, Emma, was the flower girl, and she was absolutely adorable in her vintage cowgirl outfit. This wasn't your typical wedding--no bridezilla barking orders, no rushing or stressing about getting every little thing perfect. In Ashley & Billy's true style, both the ceremony and reception were incredibly laid back.
And in true Oklahoma style, it was hot outside. After the ceremony, we snapped a few quick photos before heading off to the reception at Ashley's family cabin. I was pretty amazed by how composed she was, being as it was over 90 degrees outside and she was in her 3rd trimester of pregnancy and wearing a gown!
Although the wedding was small and simple, it was styled beautifully. The country chic theme fit perfectly at the lakeside cabin where the reception was held.
It was a beautiful event, and I am so happy for my brother and his wife! Billy and Ashley will be celebrating their 2nd year of marriage this summer, and their sweet baby girl will be turning 2 years old this fall. It's amazing how time flies...
