What I love the most about this session is that it started as an everyday in-home boudoir session and evolved into something so fun and artistic, completely spontaneously!
When I arrived for Tannah’s session, she was nervous—everyone always is. She showed me around her home and the outfits she’d picked for her session, and I encouraged her to just jump in and have fun. Having been my hairstylist for several months, Tannah and I luckily already had a good rapport which helped her feel comfortable. Right from the start, I knew we were going to have a great shoot.
One thing I really loved about working with Tannah was that she was so open to being both playful and serious. It’s not totally uncommon to have a little difficulty at first with encouraging my boudoir clients to laugh and have fun. Boudoir can feel so serious, but it’s really about capturing you in your true light, and we are all so multi dimensional!
Spontaneity brings a whole new light to every session. The more spontaneous someone is willing to be, the more amazing the session will be—hands down. And Tannah definitely brought spontaneity when she held up a feather pillow and a smirk. “What do you think… should I cut it open?”
Um. YES.
I really love this session because it is so filled with magic. Smiles, sensuality, play. That’s what boudoir is all about: Capturing different sides of yourself so that you can appreciate your true beauty! I really think we captured that with this session, and I’m so grateful to Tannah for a truly messy, magical session!
