It’s been over a year since I moved to the Savannah, GA area, and I’ve been so anxious to shoot a beach session. So when Nevie’s mom contacted me asking if I could do a last minute senior session in the Historic District and at Tybee Beach, I responded with an enthusiastic YES! (and an inward YAY!)
Nevie and her mom travelled a long way for this session, and I feel so lucky that they chose to work with me. We started Nevie’s senior session in the Historic District of Savannah, close to River Street. It was just a few days after Hurricane Florence skimmed by our area (so grateful she missed us!), and the skies were still pretty overcast.
I had so much fun walking around exploring the Historic District with Nevie and her mom! Nevie has such a bubbly personality, we were laughing pretty much the whole time.
We had a blast in Savannah’s Historic District, but my favorite part of Nevie’s session hadn’t even started yet! As sunset approached, we loaded up and headed toward the pier at Tybee Island.
On the way to Tybee, I admired the beautiful dusk light. Looking left, you could see the clouds and rain that Florence had left behind, and looking right, you could see a beautiful sunset approaching.
Of course, I was excited to shoot at Tybee Beach because we have the most gorgeous beaches in Georgia! But the real reason our beach shots were my favorite? This was totally Nevie’s place! She is such a free, warm spirit, and Tybee Beach was the perfect location to show off her personality.
As we moved under the pier, the ocean mist started turning to rain, so we only had a few minutes (but thank goodness for weatherproof equipment!) Still, we made the most of it and got some gorgeous shots of Nevie to finish up her session!
Nevie, thanks so much for choosing me to do your senior photos! CONGRATS on the home stretch—I just know you’re going far!
