When I first met Carla, she was a recent Savannah transplant from Minneapolis and we bonded instantly, since I was a former Minneapolis dweller as well. As I got to know her more, I was constantly impressed by her eye for interior design and I loved watching on Instagram as she transformed her new Savannah home.

The session below is a throwback from last year, but I couldn’t help but get it up on the blog in celebration of Carla opening her own interior design consulting business, Casa de Car Designs! Although I’m no longer in the Savannah area, I encourage any of my Savannah friends looking for design tips to reach out to Carla. She is incredible at what she does, and I only wish I had before photos to share of her home as well.

Although she transformed the whole home, her biggest project in this live-in renovation was the kitchen… and she absolutely nailed it!

You can usually find Carla engrossed in samples—tile, paint, textile, you name it, she knows her way around it!

This mural wall is one of my favorite projects of hers of all time. The #goldsquiggle has even become a bit of a trend among her Instagram followers—many have been inspired to try it out and love it in their own homes, too!

Seriously, every little detail Carla implemented into her design of this home is pure magic. I love her use of pinks, teals, and golds—and the touches of charcoal tie in everything perfectly.

Carla sold this home shortly after we did these photos and has been hard at work renovating her next project. I can’t wait to have an opportunity to visit Savannah and photograph what she’s been working on, but in the meantime, be sure to follow her on Instagram!

And if you’re in the Savannah area and need design help, reach out to her—in case you can’t tell by the photos, she is the most warm and wonderful human! (Seriously—she staged my Savannah house for market and it sold in days! I couldn’t have done it without her.)

PS - I may not be in Savannah anymore, but I absolutely love doing work for small brands and entrepreneurs! If you’re a small business owner in the Columbus, GA area, please reach out if you’d like to have some photos done for your business!
